The Leonard Tsai Memorial Scholarship recognizes an outstanding and deserving undergraduate student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department
The scholarship is awarded to a current student who exemplifies the ideals of the late Leonard Tsai: a love of fellow man, superior insight and vision, and a dedication to the field of electrical engineering as a vocation.
Dr. Leonard Tsai promoted education in the field of electrical engineering in Mississippi. For a number of years, he worked as an associate professor of electrical engineering at Ole Miss, exhibiting his talents in a professional manner. He was a gentleman of the highest caliber, who positively influenced the lives of all with whom he came in contact.
The Leonard Tsai Memorial Scholarship is awarded at the time and in the amount deemed appropriate by the department. This determination is made by the department chair, in cooperation with faculty and the university’s financial aid department.
